Barclays Cycle Hire and Barclays Cycle Superhighways provide the public with a low-cost, sustainable and environmentally friendly way of getting around London.
Barclays Cycle Hire
• Over 5,000 cycles and 350 docking points in central London, with east London expansion in Spring 2012
• The public are able to hire bikes for short journeys, with each half hour journey being free once they have paid their access fee
Barclays Cycle Superhighways
• Clearly marked cycle routes designed to make it quicker, easier and safer for people to cycle between outer and inner London
• Two pilot routes were launched in July 2010, with a further 10 routes proposed over the next 4 years
The sponsorships takes the Barclays brand around London – an iconic city and one in which Barclays has its global headquarters – in an eye catching and innovative way.
